David Taylor

David’s fascination with horses goes way back into his childhood. And with a Scottish father, one could say it had been in his blood from the onset anyway.
And indeed, with the very first encounter with horses at his grandfather's estate close to Edinburgh, Scottland, David knew he had found his calling.
At the age of 12, he began taking riding classes, and his first own horse soon followed.
A hobby quickly grew into a profession, starting with a professional education in at the Stables of Jörg Dietrich and Albert Ronne. His first few years under saddle, funnily enough, were as a jumping rider.
At the age of 25, David started on his own, and was soon recruited to head up the stables at the Leichttrab Club in Wildeshausen.
Success was quick to follow; with numerous victories and top placements up to Prix. St.George level.
After three successful years, he moved on to head up the sales stables at the Oldenburg Horse Center, one of Germany's finest. Yet that yearning to run his own business was still there. In the end, there was a solution that was a win-win for everyone.
For seven years, David headed up the sales stables at the Oldenburg Horse Center in part-time, while devoting the rest of the time to his own stables. Together with his team, he settled down at in Vechta, Germany, where he spent the next seven years.

End of 2014, David made the choice to focus on his business full-time. Nevertheless, the partnership with the Oldenburg Center is as strong as ever; through the joint pre-auction screening of the horses, riding at the auctions and as the partner stables for the training and showing of auction horses.

And then, end of 2014, another dream came true. Windstein Equestrian Excellence Center was bought and expanded solely for David's use. Just outside of Bremen, with 15 acres of land, the property offers ideal conditions for Team Taylor.
In order to continue to develop, David regularly trains with the German Bundestrainers Oliver Oelrich and Jonny Hilberath, as well as with Andreas Senge.
